I just returned home from an amazing trip to Burlington Ontario to celebrate my mom’s 75th birthday. To celebrate her birthday my sister and brother-in-law put on a huge backyard party. Now my wife & I being wine lovers told them that we would supply the wine.
We packaged up 3 cases of wine and couried them to Burlington. We sent a combination of Twisted Mist Mojito and Twisted Mist Strawberry Margarita for the party and for the dinner a gorgeous Limited Edition Australian Petit Verdot and my personal favorite a Limited Edition Pacific Quartet.

It looks like Tiki has some competition from the 'Manitoba Mojito Man'!
My family and freinds absolutley went crazy for the Mojito and Margarita, so now I’m a family hero!! I’m now known as “Manitoba Mojito Man!” I Love the attention – go figure.
They love me so much now that I’ve been given orders that instead of birthday gifts to just send Mojito and Strawberry Margarita and of coarse any other kind of our home wines.
This just goes to show you that if you want to impress your family and freinds put your best wine forward.
Cheers,
Manitoba Mojito Man!!

As the Twisted Mist ‘Summer Fun Spokesman” I thought I would share a few of my favourite wayst to add a ’twist’ of variety to your Twisted Mist Strawberry Margarita:
1.) The good news is that Twisted Mist Strawberry Margarita is great on its own or straigt from the fridge!
2.) Pour over ice cubes and garnish with a sliced strawberry for an impressive cocktail.
3.) Pour Twisted Mist Strawberry Margarita into your blender on it’s own and froth it up! It makes a very attractive pink, frothy beverage in your glass garnished with a strawberry.

Try a Twisted Mist 'Smoothie'!
4.) Add Twisted Mist Strawberry Margarita, ice cubes and a couple of fresh strawberries in your blender for a great summer ’smoothie’ style drink.
5.) Mix Twisted Mist Strawberry Margarita with a little club soda and a garnish with a slice of lime for a great sparkling Strawberry Margarita.
Cheers!

So how good is the Chocolate Raspberry Port you ask ??? éciale Chocolate Raspberry Port. My brother was amazed at how good it was- the flavour combination, the deep chocolate on your palate, followed by the tartness that the raspberries bring to it… There’s a reason it won Gold at the 2009 Winemaker Magazine!
Recently my brother was in town visiting from the west coast. After a delicious BBQ and trying a few of my wines, it came time for dessert. I brought out a bottle of my
Selection Sp
Over the next few days my brother and I considerably depleted my Chocolate Raspberry Port stock. We enjoyed it with food, on it’s own, as a dessert and as a ‘night-cap’.
Now I have to re-stock my wine rack with Chocolate Raspberry Port…
I’m also looking forward to trying the new Blackberry Port. Chocolater Raspberry Port- it’s that good… Dessert in a Bottle.
You can reserve your own Chocolate Raspberry Port by clicking here.

p.s. For those of you who are Icewine fans the very popular Okanagan Peach Icewine is returning since it’s original release in 2008- due to popular demand.

It’s always nice when new gadgets come along and the Auto-Syphon Clamp is long overdue. I’m sure most winemakers are aware of the Siphon Clip- the little red clip that attaches to your siphon combo and secures it to your pail or carboy. It allows you to ‘hover’ the end of your syphon over the sediment bed so you don’t pull in any sediment while syphoning.

The Clamp- holding the Auto-Syphon to a Primary Fermenter
The Auto-Syphon Clamp works exactly the same in that it clips onto pails and carboys. The bonus is that it is designed specifically to fit the Auto-Syphon – something the red Syphon Clip could never do. You can now use your Auto-Syphon when filtering and bottling or filling your Wine-On-Tap system (which are on sale until July 24th!)
I’ve had an Auto-Syphon for years but have never used it to bottle because it stirs up the sediment too much- which ends up in the bottle or plugs your filter pads. Now that problem has been solved and for the low price of $3.99 you can have one too.
If you don’t have an Auto-Syphon pop on down to your favourite Wine Sense location and we’ll be happy to show you how it operates… no more having to suck on your syphon to get it started!
Cheers,
Bob, Manager (Wine Sense- Springfield Rd.)
